Umoe Bioenergy

Umoe Bioenergy produces sustainable bioethanol from sugar cane – a fuel costing less than competing fossil fuels while also reducing CO2 emissions from cars and electricity generation. Located in the Paranapanema region of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the company has been a part of Umoe since 2007; it employs more than 1,600 people. Paranapanema presents a unique production environment, with vast land masses, rich natural resources and a well-established industry. The operation comprises 40,000 ha of leased arable land reserves, state-of-the art mechanized production and a mill with a crushing capacity of 2.6 million tons. Umoe Bioenergy competes successfully with fossil fuels in cost and is committed to high social and environmental standards.

Umoe Wind

Umoe Wind is the parent company of the state-of-the-art Wave Craft wind farm support vessel, constructed by Umoe Mandal AS. Umoe Firmus has been chartered by Statkraft UK to serve the Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm, which is located 23 kilometers offshore. The development of the Wave Craft vessel has been supported as part of the Carbon Trust’s Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) Access Competition.

Umoe Mandal

Umoe Mandal is an international leader in advanced composite applications for the maritime, oil & gas and naval industries. We design and develop state-of-the-art lightweight composites for the production of ships, infrastructures and associated components; and are proud to have built the Skjold class corvettes and Oksøy class mine hunters for the Royal Norwegian Navy.

Our pioneering R&D programs include the design and manufacturing of a new type of service vessel to the offshore wind industry, as well as surface effect solutions for the US Navy. Employing 160 people, the company has a turnover of about 200 million NOK, and is located in Mandal and Kristiansand.

Umoe Industries

Umoe Industries is a reputable supplier to the aluminium and energy industry, with long-standing relations with major clients in Norway and internationally.

Umoe Industries is a full life-cycle partner for aluminium smelters, covering everything from fabrication, installation, maintenance and modifications. Large scale fabrication and deliveries for both greenfield and brownfield projects globally, with set-up out of Norway, Poland and China. Local installation, modification and maintenance capabilities in Norway, serving clients under long-term frame agreements and integrated operational set-ups.

Umoe Industries has an integrated project set-up from engineering to fabrication, surface treatment, assembly and testing. Operations in Norway and Poland for the energy industry, with global track record as direct contractor and sub-contractor for different types of projects.

Umoe Sterkoder

Umoe Sterkoder is located in Kristiansund and owns around 150,000 m² of industrial property at Melkvika and Dale.

The Melkvika property consists of around 60.000 m2, of which Aibel leases 49.000 m2.

The 85,000 m2 property at Dale Industrial Park is being developed through the leasing of existing buildings as well as the construction of new buildings for new tenants. Many of the businesses at Dale Industrial Park have the offshore industry as their market and the site is designed to attract companies operating with a long-term industrial perspective. The leasing strategy and composition of businesses at Dale Industrial Park is based on the philosophy that the companies should be complementary.
